Weingut Wittmann’s 2024 Westhofener Aus Ersten Lagen Riesling is an organic expression of Westhofen, shaped by the limestone soils of the estate’s finest sites. The “1G” designation draws on the Premier Cru idea, highlighting wines from particularly distinguished vineyard locations.

Tasting Notes
Pale in appearance, it is expected to show the clear, poised Riesling character associated with these Westhofen sites. The nose brings white peach, citrus and hints of yellow apple, alongside fine herbal notes and a mineral edge. On the palate, expect concentrated fruit balanced by vivid acidity and a stony, saline impression, with lime, grapefruit and subtle smoky nuances. Its structure should allow it to develop gracefully over several years, gaining complexity with careful cellaring.
