Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Chardonnay shows a beautiful golden hue. The nose is expressive and inviting, with notes of tart pastry crust, lightly toasted marshmallow, banana cream pie, and a touch of fresh apple. On the palate, it opens with generous flavors of melon and apple, layered with hints of buttery brioche. Despite its creamy texture, the wine remains vibrant and focused, carried by bright acidity and a subtle mineral thread. It has the structure and balance to age gracefully for several years, gaining even more depth and complexity over time.

Production
The grapes come from Glasir Holt Vineyard, a coastal site on the western edge of Santa Rita Hills in Northern California. The vineyard sits close to the ocean, where cool days, colder nights, and persistent maritime influence help preserve freshness and build mineral character. Harvested by hand, the fruit was fermented in 10% concrete tanks and 90% new French oak barrels, then aged for 12 months before bottling.

This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roasted chicken, lobster, scallops, creamy pasta dishes, and dishes featuring browned butter or subtle oak accents. Serve it chilled at around 10–12°C, and consider a short decant if you’d like to open up the richer aromatic layers, though it is also very approachable straight from the bottle.
