Belle Glos Glasir Holt Chardonnay 2022

Belle Glos Glasir Holt Chardonnay 2022 is a coastal, vineyard-designated Chardonnay from the western edge of California’s Santa Rita Hills. Its combination of ripe fruit, lively acidity and mineral character sets it apart, while the vineyard’s distinctive chalky soils inspired Joe Wagner to plant Chardonnay here rather than the Pinot Noir originally planned.

Tasting Notes
The wine shows a beautiful golden hue, with aromas of pastry crust, lightly toasted marshmallow, banana cream pie and apple. On the palate, generous melon and apple notes meet hints of buttery brioche, balanced by bright acidity and a mineral edge.

Production
Glasir Holt Vineyard lies close to the ocean in northern California, where maritime influence, cool days and chilly nights help preserve freshness. Its chalky, lime-rich soils contribute to the wine’s mineral character. The grapes were harvested by hand, then fermented in a combination of 10% concrete tanks and 90% new French oak barrels. The wine was aged for 12 months before bottling.

Food & Serving
Try it with roast chicken, grilled seafood, creamy pasta or dishes featuring mushrooms and herbs. Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C. Decanting is not essential; a few minutes in the glass should allow its aromas to open.
