Zorzettig Myo Pinot Bianco 2024

Zorzettig Myo Pinot Bianco 2024 is a refined white from Friuli’s Colli Orientali, shaped by the region’s distinctive ponca soils and a fresh, elegant style. Lees ageing, including a small proportion in wood, adds a creamy texture and depth while keeping the Pinot Blanc fruit at the forefront.

Tasting Notes
Straw yellow in the glass, with aromas of ripe Golden apple, white flowers and yellow peach. The palate is balanced and lively, combining fresh fruit with a pleasantly creamy texture and an enveloping structure. No specific ageing potential is provided; enjoy it for its freshness and expressive fruit.

Production
The grapes come from vineyards in Spessa and Ipplis, around 250 metres above sea level, where clay soils are characterised by ponca, a marl-and-sandstone formation dating to the Eocene. Balanced yields and careful selection of grape clusters help express the hilly terroir. After a 12-hour cold maceration, the wine ferments in stainless steel and ages on its lees for six months with weekly bâtonnage, partly in steel and partly in a smaller proportion of wood. A further six months of rest completes the process.

Food & Serving
Its freshness and creamy texture make it a natural match for seafood, grilled fish, vegetable risotto and mild cheeses. Serve well chilled, around 10–12°C. Decanting is not necessary; opening the bottle shortly before serving should allow its floral and fruit aromas to emerge.
