Production
Schaumwein Zero is produced in Baden in southern Germany, where Zähringer’s vineyards benefit from a warm climate and mineral-rich soils that support aromatic white varieties. The estate works biodynamically and with great attention to terroir, using Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Chasselas grown in a region known for precision and freshness. The wine is first made as a traditional sparkling wine, then gently dealcoholized using a low-pressure vacuum process. This careful method allows the alcohol to evaporate at a lower temperature, helping preserve aroma, texture, and the wine’s overall balance.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, ideally around 6–8°C, as an aperitif or alongside light dishes. It pairs nicely with seafood, salads, mild cheeses, vegetable-based starters, sushi, and delicate canapés. Decanting is not necessary.

Weingut Zähringer is a family-run estate in Heitersheim, Baden, with roots dating back to 1844. Now led by the sixth generation, Fabian Zähringer, the winery has been a pioneer in organic farming since 1987 and has been Demeter-certified biodynamic since 2010. The estate is widely recognized for elegant, terroir-driven wines with freshness, precision, and a clear sense of place. Its Chardonnay and Spätburgunder, in particular, have earned strong acclaim for their refined, Burgundy-inspired style and the purity that comes from biodynamic viticulture in one of Germany’s warmest wine regions.
