Description
Weingut Emrich-Schönleber’s 2024 Auf der Ley Großes Gewächs is a rare Nahe Riesling from one of the estate’s three signature terroirs. Although its parcel lies within Frühlingsplätzchen, Auf der Ley is recognised as a vineyard in its own right; this bottling is available exclusively through the annual VDP auction in Bad Kreuznach.
Tasting Notes
Auf der Ley is known for a cool, distinctly stony character that gives this Riesling a particularly precise, purist expression. The vineyard’s blue slate, quartzite and pebbles are reflected in the wine’s mineral profile, while its acidity and structure support impressive ageing potential. Production
The Auf der Ley parcel sits within the Frühlingsplätzchen vineyard in Monzingen, but is registered as a separate site.
