Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, polished appearance with a fresh, youthful energy. The nose is immediately inviting, layering yellow and green apple, pear, lime blossom, honey, and crushed limestone, with a subtle impression of salinity that adds lift and precision. On the palate, the wine is focused and textural, with citrus-driven freshness wrapped around a distinctly mineral core. The orchard fruit from the nose returns alongside hints of sea salt and chalky tension on the finish, giving the wine both complexity and clarity. La Combe Verte is assembled from fruit grown at some of the Willamette Valley’s top sites, including Justice, Freedom Hill, X Novo, Clos des Oiseaux, and Sojourner. The style is crafted to preserve freshness and terroir expression, resulting in a Chardonnay that emphasizes precision over weight.
