Tasting Notes
In the glass, it offers a classic Barolo profile with a lifted, transparent ruby hue that hints at both finesse and structure. The nose opens with glacier-stone minerality, flinty salt notes, ripe blackcurrant, and a finely tuned floral character reminiscent of fragrant tea leaves, all wrapped in a bright, ethereal intensity. On the palate, the wine is precise and poised, with carefully ripened fruit, excellent clarity, and a savoury mineral thread that carries through the finish. The balance of power and elegance suggests long aging potential, with the structure to evolve beautifully over many years in bottle.

Production
The fruit comes from two historic parcels in Rocche di Castiglione, planted in 1958 and 1969, on soils made up of around 35% sand with marl that continues to shift and reveal more sand over time. The grapes were harvested on October 1 and co-fermented from the two parcels, spending 24 days on the skins to build depth, texture, and aromatic complexity.

This Barolo pairs beautifully with rich Piedmontese dishes such as brasato al Barolo, truffle pasta, mushroom risotto, and slow-braised veal. Serve at around 16–18°C, and consider decanting for at least 2 hours, especially in its youth, to allow the aromatics and structure to fully open.
