Tasting Notes
The wine shows a deep, intense ruby-garnet hue, hinting at its structure and concentration. On the nose, it opens with fresh mint, grilled rosemary, and Darjeeling tea, layered over classic Barolo tones of ripe red cherry, rose petal, spice, and earthy complexity. The palate is broad-shouldered and texturally impressive, with excellent depth and precision. Tannins are both sweet and chalky, giving the wine a firm but polished frame, while the finish feels generous and persistent. This is a Barolo with clear aging potential and should develop beautifully over time, gaining even more nuance and harmony in bottle.

Production
Brunate is a celebrated Barolo vineyard in Piedmont, known for producing wines with intensity, perfume, and a distinctly dark, powerful character. In 2021, Vietti harvested and vinified the fruit with a 23-day skin maceration, a choice that helped build the wine’s depth, structure, and aromatic definition. Production was limited to just 4,835 bottles, underscoring its exclusivity.

This Barolo is a natural match for rich Piedmontese dishes such as truffle risotto, tajarin with ragù, braised beef, veal shank, or aged cheeses. Serve at 16–18°C, and decant for at least 1–2 hours if drinking young to allow the aromas and tannins to open fully.
