Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Brachetto d’Acqui shows a luminous ruby-red hue with cherry highlights and a fine, persistent mousse. The bubbles are gentle rather than aggressive, forming a soft, frothy crown at the rim. On the nose, it is intensely aromatic with notes of ripe strawberries, raspberry coulis, wild red berries and rose petals, underpinned by hints of candied cherries and a subtle touch of spice. The palate is sweet but not cloying, with lively acidity keeping everything lifted and refreshing. Flavours mirror the bouquet: fresh strawberries, red currants, pomegranate and a whisper of Turkish delight. The alcohol is typically low for this style, which enhances its easy-drinking charm. This is a wine best enjoyed in its youth to capture its vivid fruit and floral aromatics rather than for long-term aging.

Production
Tre Secoli sources Brachetto grapes from selected vineyards in the gently rolling hills of southern Piemonte, where a mix of calcareous and clay-rich soils helps preserve aromatic intensity and natural acidity. The grapes are harvested relatively early, often by hand, to retain freshness and delicate perfume. After a gentle pressing, the must is kept at low temperatures to protect its fragrance, then undergoes a controlled fermentation in pressurized stainless-steel tanks (Charmat/Martinotti method). Fermentation is arrested by chilling when the desired balance of sweetness, alcohol and dissolved CO₂ is reached, resulting in a naturally sweet, lightly sparkling wine that captures the pure, grapey character of Brachetto.

Food & Serving
Tre Secoli Brachetto d’Acqui is a natural partner for fruit-driven and chocolate-based desserts: think fresh strawberries, raspberry tarts, panna cotta with berries, or dark chocolate fondant. It also works beautifully with Italian pastries such as hazelnut tortes, biscotti and festive cakes, and can contrast nicely with mild, creamy cheeses. Serve well-chilled at around 6–8°C. Decanting is not recommended; instead, open just before serving to preserve its gentle effervescence and vibrant aromatics.
