Tasting Notes
In the glass, it typically shows a delicate pale pink hue with a luminous, polished appearance. The nose is fragrant and inviting, with notes of wild strawberries, pink grapefruit, cherry blossom, and a subtle saline edge that reflects its southern Italian origin. On the palate, Calafuria is crisp, vibrant, and beautifully balanced, offering juicy red berry fruit, citrus freshness, and a clean, lightly savory finish. The 2025 vintage should preserve the wine’s trademark freshness and finesse, with enough structure to remain lively and enjoyable in the near term rather than built for long aging.

Production
Made from Negroamaro grapes grown in Salento, in the heart of Apulia, where warm days and sea-influenced breezes help shape the wine’s ripe fruit character and natural freshness. The growing season benefited from well-timed spring rainfall that replenished water reserves, followed by a hot, dry late summer that supported optimal ripening and concentration without undue vine stress. The cool pre-harvest period helped preserve acidity, resulting in a rosé with both richness and tension.

Food & Serving
Best served well chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, Calafuria works beautifully with seafood, grilled prawns, tuna carpaccio, summer salads, vegetable antipasti, and light pasta dishes. Decanting is not necessary; simply open and enjoy fresh to appreciate its aromatic lift and crisp texture.
