Description

Sclavos Wines’ Vino di Sasso is a dry white made from Robola, the distinctive indigenous grape of Kefalonia in Greece’s Ionian Islands. Its name means “wine of stone,” a fitting introduction to a style known for pronounced minerality, lively acidity and a subtle saline edge.

Tasting Notes
A tasting note for an earlier vintage describes aromas of citrus, apricot and flowers. On the palate, bright acidity and a generous feel are balanced by mineral character, hints of butter and a lightly salty finish. The supplied note is for the 2017 vintage, so the precise profile of the 2024 bottling may differ.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 9–11°C, with grilled fish, shellfish, lemon-dressed salads or fresh goat’s cheese. Its acidity and mineral, saline character should also work well with simply prepared seafood. Decanting is not necessary; open shortly before serving.
