Diplomático Distillery Collection No. 2 Barbet is a distinctive Venezuelan rum made in the rare French Barbet column still. It stands out for combining the elegance of column-distilled rum with a rich, fruit-forward character and the depth of oak maturation.

Aroma & Palate
The nose offers ripe tropical fruit, vanilla and gentle caramel, with subtle toasted oak in the background. On the palate, it is smooth and rounded, showing notes of dried fruit, soft spice and creamy vanilla, followed by a warm, lightly oaked finish.

Distillation & Maturation
This rum is distilled in Diplomático’s historic French Barbet column still, a continuous still known for producing aromatic and refined spirits. The resulting rum is matured in oak casks, including bourbon and re-charred oak barrels, which contribute its vanilla, caramel and toasted notes.

Serving Suggestions
Enjoy it neat or over a large ice cube to appreciate its layered character. It also works well in spirit-forward rum cocktails, such as an Old Fashioned-style serve, where a small amount of sugar and bitters can highlight its fruit and oak profile.

Distillery
Diplomático is produced in Venezuela at the La Miel distillery, located at the foot of the Andes near the Terepaima National Park. The house is known for using a range of traditional distillation methods and carefully selected cask types, allowing it to create rums with distinctive styles and considerable depth.
