Tasting Notes
Deep, concentrated ruby in the glass, this vintage opens with generous aromas of plum, blackberry, licorice, and dark chocolate, lifted by warm spice and toasted oak. On the palate, it is rich and structured, with vibrant acidity bringing freshness and fine tannins giving the wine a satisfying grip and length. The finish is layered with spice and subtle oak, adding depth without overwhelming the fruit. Thanks to its balance of ripe structure and freshness, it has the backbone to age gracefully over the next several years.

Production
Fruit was sourced from several of Robert Mondavi Winery’s vineyard parcels across Napa Valley, from St. Helena to Carneros. The cooler Carneros climate contributes elegance and lift, while riper fruit from warmer sites adds depth and intensity. The wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 32% of which were new, to build texture and complexity while preserving the wine’s expressive fruit.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent partner for grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, roast lamb, or mushroom-rich dishes, as well as aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C, and decant for 30–60 minutes if possible to let the aromatics and structure fully open up.
