Ritterhof Alto Adige Gewürztraminer 2025 is a beautifully aromatic dry white wine that captures the character of one of Alto Adige’s most expressive grape varieties. Made from Traminer Aromatico grown in the cool Alpine foothills of Trentino Alto Adige, it offers a striking balance of intensity, finesse, and regional identity.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright straw-yellow color with vivid green reflections. The nose is immediately open and perfumed, with notes of rose petals, geranium, clove, and warm spice that give it real personality. On the palate, the wine is rich, structured, and textured, with a spicy core and a long, silky finish. Its aromatic purity and freshness make it especially appealing now, while its balance and concentration suggest it can develop gracefully for up to five years.

Production
The grapes come from the Termeno and Caldaro areas of Alto Adige, where vineyards sit between 250 and 490 meters above sea level. The soils of gravel, clay, and porphyry help shape the wine’s distinct varietal expression, while the altitude supports slow, even ripening and excellent aromatic precision. Vines are trained using the Guyot system, and the wine is made from hand-harvested grapes picked from mid-September to mid-October. After a gentle pressing, the must undergoes cold maceration to preserve floral and spicy aromas, followed by fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled 20°C, with no oak aging to keep the style clean and focused.

Food & Serving
This Gewürztraminer is a natural match for Asian dishes with aromatic spice, shellfish, and creamy or blue cheeses. It is best served well chilled, around 8-10°C, and does not require decanting.
