Ramos Pinto Porto Ruby is a classic, fruit-forward Port from the Douro, crafted by one of Portugal’s most respected names in fortified wine. Made from traditional native grapes, it offers the vibrant, youthful style that has made Ruby Port a timeless favorite for after-dinner enjoyment.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep ruby-red colour with plenty of youthful intensity. The nose is rich and expressive, with aromas of ripe black cherries, plums, red berries, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is smooth, lively, and generously fruited, with dark berry flavours, good freshness, and a rounded sweetness balanced by a pleasant structure. This is a Port meant to be enjoyed for its immediate charm rather than long cellaring, and it is best consumed while young and vibrant.

Production
Produced in the Douro, where steep terraces and schist soils create challenging but exceptional conditions for fine Port grapes, this Ruby is made from Tinta Barroca, Touriga Francesa, and Touriga Nacional. The grapes are harvested from carefully selected vineyards and vinified in the traditional way to preserve colour, fragrance, and ripe fruit character before fortification and blending.

Food & Serving
Serve slightly below room temperature, ideally around 16–18°C. It pairs beautifully with dark chocolate desserts, berry tarts, blue cheese, or simply enjoyed on its own after dinner. Decanting is generally not necessary for a standard Ruby Port.
