Planeta Terebinto Grillo is a vivid expression of Sicily’s identity, made entirely from the native Grillo grape in the Menfi area. Organic, fresh, and quietly complex, it shows why Grillo has become one of the island’s most distinctive white varieties, with a style shaped by both tradition and modern precision.

Tasting Notes
Pale yellow in the glass with delicate green reflections, this wine opens with inviting aromas of apricot, medlar, beeswax, and yellow flowers. The bouquet feels both generous and refined, capturing the warmth of the Sicilian sun while keeping a cool, lifted elegance. On the palate, it is fresh and lively with a balanced, complex structure and a pleasantly moderate 13% alcohol. The texture is smooth from six months on fine lees, adding subtle depth and breadth to the wine’s naturally bright profile. It should drink beautifully now, while retaining its appeal over the next few years.

Production
Made from 100% Grillo grown in the Menfi area of Sicily, the wine reflects a terroir influenced by coastal breezes, abundant sunshine, and mineral-rich soils that suit this native variety particularly well. The grapes are vinified with a focus on preserving freshness and aromatic clarity, then aged for six months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks, with regular stirring to keep the lees in suspension and build texture without compromising purity.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, white meats, and Mediterranean dishes with herbs or citrus. It also pairs well with vegetable risottos, fresh cheeses, and Sicilian-inspired cuisine. Serve chilled, ideally around 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
