Pico Maccario Barolo Cannubi is an elegant, terroir-driven expression of Nebbiolo from one of Barolo’s most celebrated crus. Crafted by the Maccario family in the heart of Piemonte, it combines floral perfume, spice, and impressive structure in a wine that speaks clearly of its prestigious origin.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows the classic garnet-red hue expected of fine Barolo, with subtle brilliance and depth. The nose is lifted and refined, offering floral notes layered with spice and a touch of sweet tobacco. On the palate, it is energetic, structured, and long-lasting, with the tension and firmness that give Barolo its distinctive character. While already impressive, it has the balance and backbone to develop beautifully with time in bottle, gaining complexity and softness over the years.

Production
Made from 100% Nebbiolo, this Barolo comes from the Cannubi cru in Piemonte, one of the region’s most revered vineyard sites. Pico Maccario’s careful approach in the vineyard and cellar aims to preserve purity, structure, and aromatic finesse, resulting in a wine that reflects both the hillside terroir and the traditional identity of Barolo.

Food & Serving
This is a natural partner for rich Piemonte cuisine, especially braised or roasted red meats, game, and mature hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C to show its full aromatic range and structure. Decanting is recommended, particularly if enjoyed young, to help the wine open up and reveal its layered complexity.
