Petra Hebo is a vibrant Toscana IGT red that brings together Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese in a distinctly Tuscan expression. Crafted by Petra, it reflects the estate’s ambitious pursuit of excellence and its focus on translating the character of the local landscape into an elegant, approachable wine.

Tasting Notes
Clear ruby red in the glass. The nose is fresh and expressive, with aromas of black cherry, blueberry, violet and peony complemented by mineral nuances and hints of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the wine is juicy, fresh and pleasantly full-bodied, with generous fruit character and a refined, supple texture. Balanced, gentle tannins provide structure without overpowering the wine, making it enjoyable in its youth while allowing it to develop further over the coming years.

Production
The grapes are grown in Tuscany on clay-sandy soils with a light calcareous character, combining water-holding capacity with mineral freshness. The blend comprises Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese. After vinification, the wine matures for 12 months in second- and third-use barriques as well as 30- and 50-hectolitre wooden casks, followed by a further 12 months of bottle ageing. Harvesting methods and specific fermentation details are not specified.

Food & Serving
A versatile partner for grilled or roasted meats, Tuscan sausages, herb-seasoned lamb, mushroom dishes and hearty pasta with tomato or ragù-based sauces. Serve at approximately 16–18°C. Decanting is not essential, but 20–30 minutes in a decanter can help open the wine’s floral and Mediterranean herbal aromas, particularly when enjoyed young.
