Description

Terra Montosa brings together Riesling from selected parcels in some of Weingut Georg Breuer’s steep, prestigious Rheingau vineyards. Made as a cuvée for around 30 years, it offers an expressive perspective on these celebrated sites, with a name that means “mountainous land.”

Production
The grapes are sourced from selected parcels in Berg Roseneck, Berg Schlossberg and Berg Rottland in Rüdesheim, Nonnenberg in Rauenthal, and Pfaffenwies in Lorch. The vineyards’ varied soils, including loam, phyllite and quartz slate, contribute to the wine’s layered character. Harvesting and vinification details for the 2022 vintage were not provided.

Food & Serving
Riesling’s versatility makes it a natural match for seafood, aromatic Asian dishes and fresh goat’s cheese. Serve lightly chilled, around 8–10°C; a short time in the glass can help the wine open up. Decanting is optional.

German Riesling from one of Rheingau's absolute best producers. Breuer's Terra Montosa has the beautiful classic Riesling freshness, but also an incredibly lovely lightly full-bodied fruit character at the same time.
