The Tutto Beny Weiß by Bastian Beny comes from Wintersheim in Rheinhessen and combines Chardonnay, Riesling, and Silvaner. Green apple and meadow hay define the nose, accompanied by an earthy note, while the oak from spontaneous fermentation in barrel remains discreetly in the background. On the palate, it is delicately creamy from the twelve months on full lees, underpinned by a clear citrus axis and salty minerality.

The 2018 Saffredi from Fattoria Le Pupille is the flagship of the Maremma and combines Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Petit Verdot. Black cherry and plum hover over cedarwood and graphite, with a hint of embers. On the palate, it is full-bodied, yet carried by a salty freshness, with fine-grained tannins and a finish that resonates for a long time.

Like every Brunello, the Altesino Brunello di Montalcino 2021 is made from Sangiovese Grosso and comes from one of the appellation’s style-defining estates. Since 1972, Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2023 has stood for the opulent Californian style that many guests have in mind when they say Napa. The nose is dense, with cassis and blackberry over vanilla and a sweetly toasted spice from the oak aging. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, the tannins are softly polished, and the finish is broad and long.

The Papale Linea Oro Primitivo di Manduria 2021 from Varvaglione comes from Apulia, where the old vines in Salento produce very ripe grapes. Dark berries and dried plum shape the nose, accompanied by licorice and warm spice. Full-bodied and soft on the palate, with ripe tannins and a long finish that fades with a slight hint of chocolate.

Chavost Blanc d'Assemblage Brut Nature brings together Champagne’s three grape varieties with no dosage at all, meaning without the usual addition of sugar before corking. Green apple and citrus lead the way, followed by white flowers and a delicate almond note. On the palate, it is clear and saline, with lively effervescence and a dry finish that lingers for a long time.

The Robert Weil Kiedrich Riesling 2015 from the Rheingau, where the vineyards above Kiedrich are higher and cooler than the rows directly along the Rhine. Ripe apricot and yellow peach meet lemon zest and dried herbs, accompanied by a cool hint of wet gravel. On the palate, taut, with an acidity that makes the wine seem youthful despite ten years of bottle age, and a long finish

The Château des Tours Côtes du Rhône 2022 by Emmanuel Reynaud (Château Rayas) brings together Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Juicy red fruits meet delicate spices and Mediterranean savoriness. On the palate, it is fleshy and elegant, with silky tannins, lovely freshness, and remarkable balance.

The Knipser Spätburgunder Kirschgarten GG 2020 from the Palatinate shows intense black cherry, forest berries and dark chocolate, accompanied by fine spice and mineral notes. On the palate silky and concentrated, with velvety tannins, lively freshness and a long, elegant finish.

The Banfi Brunello Riserva 1978 is a historic Sangiovese from Montalcino. After decades of aging, it displays classic notes of dried fruit, leather, tobacco, forest floor, and spices. On the palate, it is elegant, mature, and complex, with silky tannins and a long, earthy-spicy finish – a rare rarity.
