Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, lively character with a fresh, fruit-filled expression. The nose offers ripe fruit, plenty of citrus, elderflower and summery floral notes, while the palate brings juicy pear and apple layered with a crisp citrus line and a long, refreshing finish. Solaris is naturally well suited to producing aromatic, fresh wines like this one, and the steel-tank élevage helps preserve purity and brightness. Enjoy it while young for its lively fruit, though it should remain appealing over the next few years as the flavours continue to settle and harmonise.

Production
Produced on Lolland, where the mild climate and fertile soils create favourable conditions for fruit and viticulture, this wine comes from Østergaard’s own vineyards and is made from organically suited Solaris grapes grown for white and rosé wine production. The grapes are harvested with care and vinified in stainless steel to retain freshness, aromatic intensity and the pure expression of the grape and site.

Food & Serving
A natural match for fish, shellfish and other seafood dishes, Østergaard Solaris 2023 also makes an excellent welcome wine or a refreshing glass on its own. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary.
