Why shop with us?
Olivier Leflaive’s Bourgogne Blanc Les Sétilles 2022 is a polished expression of Burgundy Chardonnay, combining ripe fruit, свежe mineral lift, and the house’s signature finesse. Sourced from multiple parcels across the Côte de Beaune and further south in Burgundy, it brings together breadth, elegance, and a distinctly classic regional character.
Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a clean, bright straw-gold color. The nose opens with floral notes, citrus zest, and ripe melon, giving way to a subtle mineral edge that keeps the wine lively and precise.
The palate is rounded and satisfying, with good weight from the ripe fruit balanced by an underlying freshness. A touch of oak adds a little complexity without overshadowing the fruit, and the finish is smooth, supple, and refreshingly mineral. It is enjoyable now, while still having enough structure to hold well over the next few years.
Production
The Chardonnay for Les Sétilles comes from several sites in Burgundy, including parcels in the Côte de Beaune and more southerly locations, giving the wine both texture and regional depth. The grapes are harvested with a split approach—half by hand and half by machine—and each parcel is vinified separately before the final blend is assembled. The wine is aged mainly in stainless steel to preserve freshness, with a smaller portion matured in oak barrels to add complexity and subtle roundness.
Food & Serving
This wine pairs especially well with delicate fish dishes, light seafood preparations, and mild creamy sauces, as well as dry cheeses that complement its fresh, mineral profile. Serve chilled at around 10–12°C for the best balance of aroma and texture; decanting is not necessary.
Producer
Olivier Leflaive is one of Burgundy’s most respected names in Chardonnay, known for producing wines that combine precision, regional expression, and approachable elegance. Based in Puligny-Montrachet, the house has built a strong reputation for both village-level and regional Burgundy wines, and is widely appreciated for its consistency and craftsmanship across a broad range of appellations.
