Nino Franco Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Nodi Extra Brut 2024 is a refined expression of Glera from the steep, prestigious hills of Valdobbiadene DOCG. Its Extra Brut style offers a notably dry, precise profile, combining fine Italian sparkling-wine craftsmanship with the fresh, aromatic character that has made Prosecco internationally renowned. Nino Franco, founded in 1919, is one of the historic names of the Valdobbiadene appellation.

Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow in appearance, with a lively stream of delicate bubbles and a persistent mousse. The nose is fresh and elegant, revealing white flowers, citrus zest, green apple and subtle notes of pear and fresh herbs. On the palate, it is crisp, linear and dry, with vibrant acidity, a light, mineral character and a clean, refreshing finish. The Extra Brut dosage allows the purity of the Glera grape and the character of the Valdobbiadene hills to take centre stage. It is best enjoyed young, when its freshness and aromatic lift are at their most expressive, although careful short-term cellaring may add a little complexity.

Production
Made from Glera grown in the hilly Valdobbiadene area of Veneto, where cooler elevations, ample sunlight and varied slopes help preserve freshness while encouraging aromatic ripeness. The grapes are harvested at optimal maturity and vinified to retain their delicate floral and fruit character. Secondary fermentation takes place in tank using the traditional Martinotti, or Charmat, method, followed by careful lees contact before bottling. The Extra Brut style is defined by its low dosage and particularly dry finish.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at approximately 6–8°C. This versatile sparkling wine is an excellent aperitif and pairs beautifully with oysters, prawns, sushi, fresh seafood, vegetable antipasti and delicate fish dishes. Its dry, energetic palate also works well with soft cheeses and lightly fried appetisers. Decanting is not recommended; pour gently into flute or white-wine glasses to preserve its mousse and aromatic freshness.
