Nikolaihof Riesling Baumpresse im Weingebirge 2015 is a distinctive Wachau white wine, notable for being pressed in a remarkable piece of winemaking history. The Nikolaihof’s 400-year-old wooden tree press is 12 metres long and takes more than ten hours to complete a pressing.

Production
The grapes were pressed in the Nikolaihof’s historic Baumpresse, described as the largest surviving wooden tree press in the world. The slow pressing takes more than ten hours and is said to produce wines of exceptional character. Further details about the vineyard site, harvest and vinification are not available.
