Description

Negro Angelo e Figli’s Perdaudin is a Roero Arneis shaped by the region’s distinctive shell-rich sandy soils and the character of an indigenous Piedmontese grape. Its name reimagines Podere di Audino, the historic estate once associated with these vineyards; Arneis itself was nearly lost before being rediscovered in the 1980s.

Tasting Notes
A delicate floral bouquet rises from the glass, leading into juicy, clear fruit on the palate. Lees ageing and occasional bâtonnage bring a gentle spice and a rounded, creamy texture while keeping the wine lively and fresh. Production
The vineyards sit on sandy soils of oceanic origin, rich in limestone from abundant fossil shells. The Arneis grapes are harvested in September and pressed directly after picking. Fermentation and maturation take place in stainless steel, followed by seven months on the lees with occasional bâtonnage to develop added texture and subtle savoury character.

Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled, around 8–10°C, with seafood, grilled white fish, fresh cheeses or vegetable dishes. Its freshness also makes it a natural aperitif. Decanting is not necessary; simply open shortly before serving.
