Mottura’s Le Pitre is a 2023 Primitivo from Puglia’s Primitivo di Manduria appellation, a distinctive expression of one of southern Italy’s best-known red grapes. The area has a long-standing association with Primitivo, prized for its generous, sun-ripened character.

Tasting Notes
Primitivo di Manduria is typically deep ruby in colour, with ripe aromas of dark cherry, plum and blackberry, often accompanied by hints of spice. On the palate, expect a full-bodied, fruit-forward style with supple tannins and a warm finish; the exact profile can vary by vintage and winemaking.

Food & Serving
Serve slightly below room temperature, around 16–18°C. Its ripe-fruited style should pair well with grilled or roasted red meat, sausages, and aged cheeses. A brief decant may help open the wine, though it can also be enjoyed shortly after pouring.
