Morgen Long X Omni Vineyard Chardonnay 2021 is a striking Oregon Chardonnay that combines precision, richness, and real sense of place. Crafted from 99.8% Chardonnay with a tiny touch of Aligoté, it showcases the exceptional character of the X Omni Vineyard in Eola-Amity Hills and the thoughtful, detail-driven style that has made Morgen Long stand out in Oregon.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a polished, luminous profile with the kind of depth and clarity that immediately signals quality. The nose is expressive and layered, with citrus oil, pineapple, apricot, ginger, lemongrass, mint, and white flowers coming together in a vibrant, inviting bouquet. On the palate, the wine is generous, concentrated, and beautifully balanced, with a fine line of acidity that keeps the richness in check and gives the finish real lift. It already drinks with impressive harmony, but it also has the structure and concentration to develop further with a few years in bottle.

Production
The grapes were harvested carefully by hand from X Omni Vineyard in the southern part of Eola-Amity Hills, one of Oregon’s most compelling Chardonnay sites. After fermentation, the wine matured for 12 months in 100% new oak barrels, then rested for a further 6 months in stainless steel to knit everything together before release.

Food & Serving
This is a versatile but characterful Chardonnay that pairs beautifully with roast chicken, butter-poached lobster, grilled scallops, creamy pasta dishes, or rich mushroom risotto. Serve chilled at around 10-12°C, and consider decanting for 20-30 minutes if you want to open up its aromatics and soften the oak influence a touch.
