Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2008 is a vintage Champagne that captures the freshness and precision of a highly regarded year. Made only in selected vintages, it offers a more individual expression of the house’s style, balancing lively fruit with the savoury complexity that comes with bottle ageing.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold in the glass, with a fine, elegant mousse. The nose brings citrus and green apple, alongside brioche and toasted nuts, while chalky mineral notes add definition.
On the palate, freshness and mature, savoury flavours are held in balance, leading to a precise, lingering finish. Enjoy it now, or cellar it further under suitable conditions to allow its developed notes to deepen.
Production
This vintage Champagne comes from the 2008 harvest in the chalk-rich Champagne region of France, where the cool climate helps preserve freshness and acidity. It is made using the traditional Champagne method, with a second fermentation in bottle; the individual grape varieties, blend proportions and specific ageing details are not provided.
Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, as an aperitif or with oysters, shellfish, delicate fish and other light dishes. Decanting is generally unnecessary for Champagne; pour gently into a glass and give it a moment to open up.
