Description

From the high-altitude vineyards of Yacochuya in Argentina’s Cafayate Valley, this dry Torrontés offers an especially vivid expression of the country’s signature aromatic white grape. The 2022 vintage combines an expressive floral-fruit profile with refreshing energy, shaped by vines growing at 2,035 metres above sea level.

Tasting Notes
Clear and pale yellow in the glass, it opens with intense aromas of muscat, lavender, verbena, exotic fruit and white flowers. The palate is aromatic and concentrated yet lively, with fresh acidity carrying the flavours through an energetic finish. The producer notes notable ageing potential, though no specific drinking window is provided; it can also be enjoyed young for its bright, fragrant character.

Production
The Torrontés comes from old vines in Yacochuya, where clay-siliceous and gravel-siliceous soils meet the distinctive mountain climate of the Cafayate Valley. The vineyards are cultivated according to organic and sustainable principles. Grapes are hand-harvested and double-sorted before fermentation in small, temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, a method that helps preserve the variety’s aromatic character.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, with seafood, fish, cheeses or spiced dishes that complement its floral, fruit-led aromas. Its freshness makes it a particularly good match for dishes with fragrant herbs or gentle heat. Decanting is generally unnecessary; open shortly before serving to let the aromas emerge.
