Maçanita Branco is a fresh, elegant white wine from the heart of Portugal’s Douro Valley, crafted by the passionate sibling duo António and Joana Maçanita. Bringing together Viosinho, Arinto, and Gouveio, it offers a refined expression of the region with a balance of vibrancy, texture, and finesse.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, luminous pale yellow. The nose is lively and inviting, with floral notes layered over fresh orchard and citrus fruits. On the palate, the wine feels both crisp and subtly creamy, with a well-balanced structure and a delicate, persistent finish. It is best enjoyed young for its freshness, though the quality of its structure gives it the ability to hold nicely over the short to medium term.

Production
Sourced from the Douro, a region known for its dramatic slopes and diverse soils, this wine reflects the character of a terroir that can produce whites with both precision and depth. The blend of Arinto, Gouveio, and Viosinho is vinified to preserve aromatic purity and freshness, resulting in a wine that combines brightness with a fine textural edge.

Food & Serving
Ideal with grilled fish, crisp salads, and lighter white meats, where its freshness helps lift and sharpen the dish. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C. Decanting is not necessary; simply open and enjoy while the wine is young and vibrant.
