Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright, pale yellow colour that immediately suggests freshness and vibrancy. The nose is lifted and expressive, with floral notes and crisp fresh fruit coming through in a clean, inviting bouquet. On the palate, Macanita Branco 2023 feels both lively and supple, combining a precise, zesty structure with a subtle creamy texture. The finish is delicate and persistent, and while it is enjoyable now for its brightness and charm, it should also hold well in the short to medium term.

Production
Sourced from the Douro, a region known for its dramatic slopes and mineral-rich soils, this wine brings together indigenous white grape varieties that are well suited to the area’s warm climate and altitude-driven freshness. Arinto contributes acidity and tension, Gouveio adds body and structure, while Viosinho brings aromatic lift and finesse. The result is a carefully balanced blend that showcases both terroir and variety.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled fish, crisp salads, light poultry dishes, and seafood starters. Serve well chilled at around 8–10°C to highlight its freshness and aromatic detail, and decanting is not necessary.
