Louis Roederer & Philippe Starck Brut Nature Rosé 2015 Giftbox

A distinctive 2015 rosé Champagne from Louis Roederer, created in collaboration with designer Philippe Starck and presented in a gift box. Brut Nature is made without dosage, letting the wine’s ripe fruit, lively acidity and chalky finish take centre stage.

Tasting Notes
The 2015 vintage is medium to full-bodied, with a rich, generous texture and a structured, vinous character. Aromas and flavours of peach, clear honey, freshly baked bread and almond paste are balanced by crisp acidity and a long, chalky finish.

Production
For the rosé, winemaker Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon and his team selected the ripest Pinot Noir from the Les Chèvres lieu-dit, harvesting it a week before the rest of the fruit there. The grapes were macerated at low temperature for four to five days, and around 20% of this Pinot Noir was blended into the same base wine used for the Brut Nature. Further details about the vineyard’s terroir and the remaining vinification are not provided.

Food & Serving
Its ripe fruit and crisp acidity make it a natural match for grilled salmon, langoustines, roast poultry or soft, creamy cheeses. Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C. A short time in the glass can help open its layered aromas; decanting is not essential.
