Description

Presented in a gift box, Louis Roederer Cristal 2015 is the house’s celebrated prestige cuvée, combining richness with freshness and finely judged elegance. Created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II, Cristal remains one of Champagne’s most iconic wines; this vintage is made from 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay.

Tasting Notes
Bright and graceful in the glass, it opens with ripe yellow fruit and citrus, followed by aromas of hazelnut, toasted almond and subtle spice. The palate is silky and precise, with lively acidity, a fine mousse and a long, mineral finish. Enjoyable now, Cristal 2015 also has the structure to develop further in the cellar. Store it in cool, dark conditions and open it for a special occasion or as part of a considered Champagne tasting.

Production
The blend draws on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from some of Louis Roederer’s finest Grand Cru vineyards in Champagne. The supplied information does not specify the harvest or vinification methods for this vintage.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled, around 8–10°C, in a tulip-shaped Champagne glass to let its aromas unfold. It pairs beautifully with oysters, fine seafood, caviar or roast poultry. Decanting is generally unnecessary; open shortly before serving and allow the wine to develop in the glass.

Founded in Reims in 1776, Louis Roederer is one of Champagne’s historic family-owned houses. Cristal was created for Tsar Alexander II in 1876 and has since become the producer’s signature prestige cuvée, prized for its careful selection of vineyard fruit and its distinctive balance of concentration and finesse.
