Le Chiuse Brunello di Montalcino 2021 is a polished and highly expressive Sangiovese that captures both the character of the estate and the nuance of a sometimes challenging vintage. Made as a special selection from just eight hectares of organically farmed vineyards with cooler exposures, it offers impressive aromatic completeness, balance, and finesse rather than sheer power.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, this Brunello shows a deep, inviting color that hints at its dark-fruited profile. The nose is layered and fragrant, with dark berries, blue flowers, grilled herbs, and a sweet cedar note that gives the wine a refined, almost savory lift. On the palate, it is soft and silken, with gentle, powdery tannins supported by a solid underlying structure. The wine feels composed and balanced, with enough depth to suggest excellent development over time. While already charming, it should continue to gain complexity with a few years of cellaring.

Le Chiuse’s 2021 Brunello comes from eight hectares of organically cultivated vineyards with cool exposures, a terroir that helps preserve freshness, aromatic definition, and elegance in the warm Tuscan landscape. The estate’s restrained winemaking style is designed to let site and vintage speak clearly, resulting in a wine that emphasizes precision and harmony over concentration. Only 19,800 bottles were produced.

Food & Serving
This Brunello is a superb match for classic Tuscan cuisine, including bistecca alla fiorentina, braised beef, roast lamb, wild boar ragù, and aged cheeses. Serve it at 16–18°C and consider decanting for about an hour if opening young, to allow the aromatic layers and texture to fully unfold.
