Produced in Saint-Julien on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, Château Lagrange benefits from gravelly soils that favor Cabernet Sauvignon and encourage excellent drainage and ripening. The estate’s vineyard holdings and careful parcel selection allow for precision in the blend, while harvest is typically carried out plot by plot to capture fruit at optimal maturity. Vinification is done with a focus on preserving freshness, structure, and varietal clarity, followed by aging in oak to add texture and complexity.

This is an excellent match for roast lamb, entrecôte, duck breast, beef fillet, or game dishes, as well as mushroom-based recipes and aged hard cheeses. Serve at around 16–18°C for the best expression, and consider decanting for 1–2 hours if drinking young to help open the aromas and soften the tannins.
