Tasting Notes
Pale and inviting in the glass, this Pinot Gris leans toward a bright, fruit-driven style rather than richness. The nose opens with stone fruit, ripe peach, and subtle floral notes of honeysuckle and rose, giving it a fragrant, graceful character. On the palate, peach and stone fruit lead the way, followed by a touch of citrus and a precise line of fresh acidity that keeps the wine lively and well balanced. It feels clean, elegant, and refreshing, with good immediate appeal and the ability to hold its charm over the next few years.

Production
The grapes are hand-harvested from Kumeu River’s vineyards in Auckland, where the maritime climate helps preserve freshness and aromatic lift. The fruit is whole-bunch pressed, a gentle approach that supports purity and finesse in the finished wine.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for pork, poultry, and game birds such as pheasant or partridge. It also works beautifully with cheese, often pairing even better than red wine for many styles. Serve chilled at around 8–10°C; decanting is not necessary.
