Korta Katarina Pošip The American 2024 is a rare, limited-edition white wine, with only 1,900 bottles produced. Crafted from a rigorous selection of the finest Pošip grapes from Čara on the island of Korčula, it offers a distinctive and deeply expressive interpretation of Croatia’s signature native variety.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a rich golden hue that immediately hints at its depth and concentration. The nose brings together bright citrus with baked apple, quince, and subtle layers of vanilla and freshly toasted bread. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and textured, with a generous, almost creamy mouthfeel balanced by a vibrant line of acidity that keeps everything fresh and lifted. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a refined impression with notes of dried fruit and a touch of spice. This is a wine with excellent aging potential, gaining further complexity over the next several years.

Production
The grapes come from carefully chosen parcels in Čara on Korčula, a coastal terroir shaped by Mediterranean sun, limestone soils, and cooling sea influence. Only the best fruit is selected for this special cuvée, and the vinification is designed to preserve Pošip’s natural richness while adding nuance and structure through carefully managed fermentation and élevage.

Food & Serving
Serve chilled at around 10–12°C. This wine pairs beautifully with grilled fish, shellfish, lobster, creamy seafood dishes, roast poultry, and mature hard cheeses. Decanting is not essential, but a short aeration can help open up its layered aromas if served young.
