Description

A special Riesling Kabinett from Dorsheimer Goldloch, offered as a VDP.Nahe auction wine in Bad Kreuznach. Made by Sebastian Schäfer, it combines the site’s generous fruit character with the delicacy and freshness expected of the Kabinett style.

Tasting Notes
The nose is herbaceous and gently spicy, with a fine note of exotic fruit. On the palate, it is elegant and lively, balancing Kabinett sweetness with bright acidity and an inviting mineral edge. No specific aging window is provided.

Production
The south-facing Dorsheimer Goldloch is known for quartzite-rich soils, which lend its Rieslings somewhat more opulent fruit than those from the nearby Pittermännchen, while preserving a fine, delicate character. Sebastian Schäfer vinifies a Kabinett from this site; further details about harvesting and cellar methods are not available.
