Heymann-Löwenstein’s 2020 Uhlen Roth Lay is a single-vineyard Riesling bearing the VDP.GROSSES GEWÄCHS designation, reserved for top dry wines from classified vineyard sites. From the steep-slope Mosel, it offers a focused expression of one of the region’s renowned Riesling vineyards.

Food & Serving
As a dry Riesling, it should pair well with freshwater fish, shellfish, roast poultry and dishes with a touch of spice. Serve lightly chilled, around 10–12°C; a short time in the glass can help the wine open up.

Producer
Weingut Heymann-Löwenstein is based in Winningen in the Terrassenmosel, where vineyards rise steeply above the river. The estate is particularly associated with Riesling from dramatic slate slopes and is a member of the VDP, Germany’s association of leading wine estates.
