Tasting Notes
The wine is bright and refined in the glass, with an expressive nose of Meyer lemon, mandarin, green apple, white flowers and exotic fruit. With time to open, it reveals layers of chamomile, citrus oil, stone fruit, delicate spice and a subtle saline note that reflects its coastal origins. On the palate, Seascape is concentrated yet energetic, balancing ripe citrus, quince, green apple and tropical fruit with lively acidity and a pronounced mineral core. Its creamy texture brings depth, while the cool-climate freshness maintains focus through a long, nuanced finish of citrus, white flowers and chalky salinity. This is a Chardonnay with excellent cellaring potential and should develop added savoury and mineral complexity over the next 5–10 years, or longer under ideal conditions.

Seascape Vineyard lies in the cool, fog-influenced Sonoma Coast, where maritime winds and extended ripening help preserve acidity while allowing flavour to develop gradually. The site’s coastal conditions are reflected in the wine’s freshness, saline character and finely detailed fruit. Hartford Court’s single-vineyard approach places the emphasis on expressing the personality of the site, with careful winemaking designed to retain Chardonnay’s natural tension, texture and precision. Food & Serving
Serve lightly chilled at approximately 10–12°C, allowing the wine to warm gradually in the glass and reveal its full aromatic range. It pairs beautifully with roast chicken, grilled or poached lobster, scallops, crab, turbot and other delicate seafood, as well as creamy pasta, risotto, roasted cauliflower and soft-ripened cheeses.
