Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a deep, concentrated color that hints at its structure and depth. The nose opens with dark cherry, violet, crushed stone, and a subtle touch of cedar, all lifted by a cool, refined profile. On the palate, it is intense and focused, with concentrated dark fruit framed by a firm, precise tannin structure. The wine feels energetic and layered rather than heavy, with excellent length and a clear sense of place. It can be enjoyed now with some air, but it also has the structure to develop beautifully over the next several years.

Production
The fruit comes from the estate’s own vineyards between Pesquera and Valbuena de Duero, an area prized for its limestone-rich soils and ideal conditions for producing wines with both power and definition. The blend is based on Tinto Fino, with smaller proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, all harvested from carefully managed parcels. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in French oak barrels, around 30% of them new, to add complexity while preserving balance and freshness.

Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, roast beef, game, and richly flavored mushroom dishes. It is best served at around 16-18°C, and decanting for one to two hours is recommended if drinking it young to help the aromas open fully and soften the structure.
