Fina Zibibbo Taif 2025 is a distinctive Sicilian white that showcases the aromatic side of Zibibbo, also known as Muscat of Alexandria, in a dry and elegant style. Sourced from Cantine Fina, it brings together a grape with ancient roots and a modern, food-friendly expression that feels both characterful and refined.
Tasting Notes
Expect a bright, pale straw color with a lively aromatic profile that leans into white flowers, citrus peel, ripe peach, and subtle herbal notes. On the palate, it should be fresh and fragrant, with a soft yet precise texture, juicy fruit, and a clean, lingering finish that makes the wine especially appealing as an aperitif or with light dishes.
While Zibibbo is traditionally associated with sweet wines, this dry interpretation highlights the grape’s versatility and aromatic intensity. The 2025 vintage is best enjoyed young to capture its freshness and expressive fruit, though it may gain a little additional complexity over the next couple of years.
Production
Zibibbo has ancient origins, likely tracing back to Egypt before finding a lasting home in Sicily, where it became known by its Arabic-influenced name, zibibbo, meaning "raisin." Cantine Fina works with this variety in Sicily’s warm, sun-drenched terroir, where the grape can ripen fully while retaining aromatic lift; the wine is crafted as a dry white to emphasize freshness, perfume, and varietal purity.
Food & Serving
This wine pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, grilled prawns, sushi, vegetable antipasti, and fresh cheeses, as well as Mediterranean dishes with herbs and citrus. Serve well chilled at around 8-10°C, and decanting is not necessary—simply open and enjoy while the wine is fresh and vibrant.
Producer
Cantine Fina is a respected Sicilian producer known for wines that express the island’s identity through native varieties and a modern, quality-focused approach. Based in Sicily, the estate has helped highlight the potential of local grapes like Zibibbo in both traditional and contemporary styles, earning recognition for aromatic, terroir-driven wines.
