Failla Brut Sparkling 2G is a coastal Sonoma sparkler with impressive Champagne-like finesse and just 2 grams of dosage for a notably dry finish. Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown at Bohan Vineyard near the Pacific, it reflects winemaker Ehren Jordan’s skill for crafting small-production wines with real character and energy.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a pale golden hue with a fine, persistent mousse. The nose opens with lifted citrus, pear, strawberry, brioche, and a touch of nutmeg, giving it both freshness and subtle richness. On the palate, it is crisp and dry, with bright acidity and clear notes of citrus and pear leading the way. The low dosage keeps the wine focused and precise, while its balance and texture suggest it can continue to develop nicely over the next few years.

Production
This sparkling wine comes from Bohan Vineyard on the Sonoma Coast, where the cool maritime influence helps preserve freshness and aromatic lift. The grapes are harvested for sparkling wine production and whole clusters are pressed to achieve a delicate, clean juice. Fermentation and maturation take place in both cement and barrels, adding texture and complexity without overpowering the wine’s purity.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for oysters, seafood, sushi, roast chicken, or richer dishes like creamy risotto and tempura, where its dryness and acidity cut through beautifully. Serve well chilled at around 6–8°C, and decanting is not necessary.
