Elena Walch Alto Adige Pinot Bianco 2025 is a refined, terroir-driven white wine from one of South Tyrol’s most respected producers. Made entirely from Pinot Blanc, it combines crisp alpine freshness, precise minerality, and a graceful, elegant style that has long made Alto Adige one of Italy’s benchmark regions for the grape.

Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a bright straw-yellow color with subtle reflections. The nose is delicate and inviting, with clean notes of apple lifted by a discreet herbal edge. On the palate, the wine is elegant and well-structured, with a fuller mid-palate, lively acidity, and a distinct mineral backbone that gives it impressive clarity and freshness. The finish is persistent and precise, with a strict yet highly pleasurable profile. It should drink beautifully now and can gain a little more complexity over the next 2–4 years.

Production
This Pinot Bianco comes from steep hillside vineyards in Trentino-Alto Adige, where cool mountain influences meet milder lower-altitude sites. The vines grow in light soils with characteristic limestone and porphyry elements, which help shape the wine’s pronounced mineral character. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected before gentle pressing and static settling of the must. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled 20°C, followed by several months of lees contact in tank to build texture and preserve the wine’s pure aromatic expression.

Food & Serving
An excellent match for seafood, shellfish, grilled white fish, risotto, light pasta dishes, and fresh vegetable preparations. It also works well with mild cheeses and refined poultry dishes. Serve chilled, ideally at 8–10°C, and decanting is not necessary.
