Description

Egly-Ouriet Cuvée des Grands Côtes is a rare still red wine from Ambonnay, offering a distinctive expression of Pinot Noir from the Champagne region. Made from old-vine fruit on chalk-rich soils, it brings together ripe red-fruit character, depth and a pronounced mineral edge.

Tasting Notes
The wine is described as ruby red, with intense aromas of red fruits. On the palate, expect a complex, deep profile balanced by freshness and mineral character. With suitable cellaring, it is said to have the potential to develop gracefully for more than 20 years.

Production
The fruit comes from old vines, over 40 years in age, rooted in the chalky soils of Ambonnay and surrounding Champagne villages. These soils aid drainage and contribute to the wine’s mineral character. The producer follows an organic and sustainable approach, and the wine is bottled without fining or filtration.
