Doro Princic Collio Pinot Bianco 2024 is an elegant, still white wine from Collio DOC in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, offering a refined expression of Pinot Blanc shaped by the region’s distinctive ponca soils. Produced by the Princic family since 1960, it combines floral finesse, vibrant minerality and impressive length with the freshness that makes Friulian white wines so distinctive.

Tasting Notes
The wine has a clear, bright straw-yellow colour. Its delicate yet expressive nose reveals fragrant white hawthorn blossom alongside inviting notes of white peach and fresh orchard fruit. On the palate, it is intense, harmonious and rounded, with a lively mineral and subtly saline character that brings definition and balance. The finish is notably long, leaving a clean, elegant impression. The 2024 vintage is best enjoyed for its youthful freshness, although its structure should allow it to develop gracefully over the next few years when carefully stored.

Production
The grapes come from Pradis in Cormòns, in the heart of the Collio hills, where ponca soils composed of sandstone and marl contribute a characteristic mineral, savoury depth. The vines are trained using the Guyot system and the grapes are harvested by hand. After gentle pressing, the must ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks using selected yeasts. The wine remains in steel rather than oak, preserving the natural fruit, aromatic precision and freshness of the Pinot Blanc.

Food & Serving
Serve well chilled at around 10–12°C. Its freshness and mineral character make it a natural match for seafood, shellfish, grilled fish, sushi, delicate pasta dishes and risotto with spring vegetables. It also pairs beautifully with fresh cheeses, poultry and light antipasti. Decanting is not necessary; simply allow the wine a few minutes in the glass to reveal its floral and fruity aromas.

Led by oenologist Alessandro Princic, the estate cultivates its own vineyards with careful attention to the Collio landscape and its distinctive ponca terroir. The winery’s approach focuses on expressing the elegance and identity of Friulian varieties, with stainless-steel maturation used to preserve the purity and vitality of wines such as this Pinot Bianco.
