Tasting Notes
In the glass, it shows a glowing golden hue with amber highlights. The nose is intensely aromatic, opening with raisins, dried apricots, candied orange peel, and a subtle lift of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, it is lush and beautifully layered, combining honeyed sweetness with fresh acidity and a distinct mineral edge. Notes of dried Zibibbo fruit, citrus marmalade, and aromatic herbs lead into a long, elegant finish. It has excellent aging potential and can develop even greater depth and complexity over time.

Production
Ben Ryé is produced on the island of Pantelleria, where the vines are shaped by volcanic soils, intense sunshine, and constant sea winds. The Zibibbo grapes are hand-harvested and then sun-dried to naturally concentrate sugar, aroma, and flavor before vinification. This traditional passito method gives the wine its signature intensity and complexity.

Food & Serving
This dessert wine is a natural match for almond pastries, fruit tarts, panna cotta, blue cheese, and dried fruit desserts. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a contemplative finish to a meal. Serve lightly chilled, ideally around 10–12°C, and decanting is not necessary.
