Description

Domaine Moreau-Naudet’s 2018 Chablis Premier Cru Vaillons combines generous, ripe fruit with the saline freshness expected of fine Chablis. A Premier Cru from one of the appellation’s recognised vineyard sites, it is distinguished by its layered texture and an unusually extended 20 months on the lees.

Tasting Notes
The wine opens with aromas of pear, white flowers, mandarin oil, oyster shell and clear honey. On the palate it is medium- to full-bodied, satin-textured and layered, with a concentrated core of fruit balanced by a fresh, salt-edged finish. Its development with age is not specified, though it is already showing beautifully.

Production
The wine spent 20 months ageing on its lees, a period that contributes to its layered texture and depth. Further details about the vineyard conditions, harvest and vinification are not available.

Food & Serving
