Description
Domaine Berthelemot’s 2022 Pernand-Vergelesses Les Belles Filles is an elegant Pinot Noir that balances ripe fruit with freshness and fine, supple tannins. From hand-harvested hillside grapes, it offers a graceful expression of the appellation, best enjoyed over the next few years rather than held for extended ageing.
Tasting Notes
The nose opens with red-fruit aromas alongside notes of blackcurrant. On the palate, ripe fruit is balanced by refreshing lift and an elegant, fine-boned structure, with smooth, supple tannins.
Production
The Pinot Noir grapes are hand-harvested from slopes at around 280–300 metres above sea level. The warm 2022 vintage produced ripe grapes, and the wine is matured in oak barrels. Further details about the vineyard soils and winemaking process are not available.
Food & Serving
Serve at 15–16°C. Its fresh, refined style should pair well with roast poultry, duck, or mushroom dishes. Given the wine’s emphasis on finesse, a short period of aeration in the glass should be sufficient; extensive decanting is unlikely to be necessary.
