On the palate, the wine is soft and rounded, with a fleshy texture and plenty of succulent fruit. The balance of Merlot’s smoothness and Cabernet Sauvignon’s frame gives it both charm and definition, while the finish leaves a pleasant impression of ripe berry fruit and gentle savoury spice. It is ready to enjoy now, though it should hold its appeal over the next few years.

Production
The wine comes from the Coteaux d’Ensérune area in Languedoc, a Mediterranean-facing landscape with a long viticultural history dating back to Roman times. The vineyards benefit from southern French sun and warmth, helping the grapes reach full ripeness while retaining freshness. According to the producer, the wine is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, crafted with a focus on expressive fruit and elegance, with the estate’s broader philosophy centered on responsible, organically minded farming.

Food & Serving
This is an excellent match for grilled meats, barbecue dishes, and rich, full-flavoured sauces that can stand up to its ripe fruit and supple structure. Serve it at around 16–18°C, and consider a short decant if opening it young to let the aromas open up fully.

Clomanet is linked to Château Régismont, led by Bernard Paillet, a fourth-generation winemaker who has spent the last 12 years converting the family estate to organic farming.
